Swaying reeds

This design was inpired by a special place in the Netherlands, called Zeeland. Whenever I’m there I’m always amazed by the amount of wind and the beautiful sounds the reeds make while being swayed. The blue and cream design is a hint to the old Delft Blue Pottery, but the shape of the mug brings you back to modern days and portrays my scandinavian background.

Handmade ceramic tea or coffee mug with blue swaying grass and reeds. Great tumbler to drink from. Non toxic glaze used, high fired and dishwasher safe although I recommend hand washing to preserve the same quality.

Dimensions: top diameter 8.5 centimeters, widest point 10 centimeters, height: 6.5 centimeters. Holds 250 ml. Transparent glaze and blue underglaze pencil on stoneware clay. This mug is available in the shop.
