I have been working on some jug designs. This will be something for 2018, when this busy time comes to an end. I will then have more time on my hands to experiment, improve my skill set and develop some nice glazes. And make the …

I wanted to show that ceramics can also be seasonal. Of course the Christmas hangers should already have given that away… but this turned out to be a proper autumn project. The kids picked some nice leaves from our garden and we rolled out some …
When winter is approaching my mother always asks me if I have something to knit for her. I guess when evenings get darker and colder people like to sit on the sofa and look for ways to stay busy. It might be reading, playing games or knitting and crocheting! For all the wool lovers out there, I’ve made these nice wool bowls or knitting bowls as they’re called. It prevents the ball from following you while you try to pull the yarn. Very useful, but also a great look on your side table! Made from speckled stoneware clay. I have a few of these in stock and will bring all of them to the Christmas market I will be attending. They are unglazed and sanded on the outside, to give them a nice concrete look and the inside is glazed in 3 varieties: transparent, duck egg green and white. If you want a custom order, please let me know. The price for these is €32,- excl shipping costs.

On Friday December 15th, I will be at a local Christmas Fair, showing my work, meeting nice people and hopefully selling a few items as well! Op vrijdag 15 december sta ik op de Wintermarkt in de Bilt van 16.00 tot 22.00 uur. Het is …

In the Netherlands autumn has properly begun now. Leaves are falling, day light savings, gloves on in the mornings and cold feet in bed… 😉
It means it’s also the time of ‘gezelligheid’! Hygge as most people know it these days. When it is dark outside, you bring light in your home! With this in mind I’ve made some tea light holders and candle holders. Some made of porcelain, others of stoneware clay. These are available in my shop (except for the plate candle holders, these are sold, but I will try to make new ones quickly) which is accessible through the ‘shop’ option in the menu bar above.
If you want to see them for your self, you can come and visit my stall at the Wintermarkt in de Bilt on the 14th of December. (bit far if you’re abroad perhaps, but all locals are welcome!) Please let me know what you think of adding some light to these darker days or if you have a custom order!
This is a set of 4 cute ceramic espressocups, handmade by me on my potter’s wheel. I used speckled stoneware clay which clearly shows my seaside inspiration. I love going to the beach and feeling the sand between my toes. These cups have a delicate …
This design was inpired by a special place in the Netherlands, called Zeeland. Whenever I’m there I’m always amazed by the amount of wind and the beautiful sounds the reeds make while being swayed. The blue and cream design is a hint to the old Delft Blue Pottery, but the shape of the mug brings you back to modern days and portrays my scandinavian background.
Handmade ceramic tea or coffee mug with blue swaying grass and reeds. Great tumbler to drink from. Non toxic glaze used, high fired and dishwasher safe although I recommend hand washing to preserve the same quality.
Dimensions: top diameter 8.5 centimeters, widest point 10 centimeters, height: 6.5 centimeters. Holds 250 ml. Transparent glaze and blue underglaze pencil on stoneware clay. This mug is available in the shop.
Lovely set of 3 decorative nesting bowls inspired by the Dutch coastline. I imagine a long evening walk through dunes or moorlands with swaying reeds, just after the sun has set. It’s getting cold, but it is too beautiful to go home yet… These are …
