Nesting bowls

Lovely set of 3 decorative nesting bowls inspired by the Dutch coastline. I imagine a long evening walk through dunes or moorlands with swaying reeds, just after the sun has set. It’s getting cold, but it is too beautiful to go home yet…
These are handmade by me on the potters wheel using stoneware clay. After they have dried for about a day, they are carefully trimmed to give them a nice footring and the decorating with coloured slip begins. The bowls are being dried some more before they go in the kiln for their first firing to about 980 C. After that they are being glazed and high fired again to 1260 C. Then a bit of sanding to give them a nice soft footring. After this they are all done and ready to be given a beautiful new home!
